In 2023, I hit my lowest moment in my coaching career.
I began gymnastics like every other child, with one of my proudest moments being second place in the national finals for schools. After moving from Hungary to London, I got my coaching qualifications and started coaching.
A few years later, I became head coach at one of the largest gymnastics clubs in London, dedicating all my time to gymnastics. I also became head of gymnastics at a private school, opened my own club, held coaching clinics, and did private sessions (I really meant all my time)
I got my first squad, but things didn’t go well at first. I made many mistakes, thinking I didn’t have the right gymnasts or enough training hours and results didn’t come in. It is during this time that I really understood what kids need to progress.
In five years, I took my squad from zero to winning hundreds of medals.
Parents often asked how a gymnast from the same recreational group as their child suddenly joined the squad and started winning medals, learning walkovers, aerials, and handsprings.
And their child was still in the same recreational class practising for years without progress, struggling with the same exact skills. And I knew there was nothing wrong with their little one.
So in 2023, I said ENOUGH.
I decided to create something different that gives gymnasts real results and builds their confidence. I called it The Home Gymnastics Academy.
