The 4-Step Path to Your Kickover

Handstand
This is where kids often hesitate and fall, not knowing
exactly how to hold themselves upside down.
We will work on handstands and landing to ensure
they don’t lose confidence while practising and
are well-prepared for the skill.

Splits
We want this kickover to be safe, flawless, and clean, so we work on achieving their split. I will show you how flexibility is not something you are born with but something you achieve by training the right way.

Bridge
This is normally what stops kids from performing the whole skill in the first place. Here, they will perfect their bridge and learn the technique
that makes execution easy and safe.

Kickover Ready
We combine every single part. Unlike typical club training
where they might just attempt the skill and fail,
here they will work on specific drills that build the necessary flexibility, technique and clarity to achieve their very first kickover.

Oh yes and online through a video with
no equipment, gym or hand supporting them?
Here is the thing.
I have been a gymnast since I was 8, and eventually transitioned into coaching.
As my coaching experience grew, so did my frustrations…
Despite becoming the head coach of one of the largest gymnastics centres in London, bringing my squad from zero to winning over 100 medals within five years, being the head of gymnastics at a private school in North London, and running my own club, I just felt something wasn't working.




Seeing kids struggling with their bridge, with no one pointing it out or giving them the preps and flexibility exercises to make their bridge better—to make it kickover ready—was heartbreaking.
They kept trying and trying, and you could see the disappointment and frustration on their faces while their confidence faded with every attempt.
These kids had all the talent and ability. They weren't any less capable than others; it’s just that in traditional classes, sometimes the coach (and I have been there myself) doesn’t have time to go through specific drills. Classes are sometimes overcrowded, making it impossible to engage the kids and provide corrections. But this felt wrong to me.

So I said ENOUGH!
I wanted the chance to teach properly, and online, despite not having equipment, we can dive deep into all the parts of the puzzle. This way, you get everything you need to really master your kickover without getting bored, waiting in line for your turn, or attending a class without improving.

Q: WHAT IS THE KICKOVER BOOTCAMP?
A: It's a 4-day online event where we teach gymnasts
how to get to their first kickover.
Q: WHO IS THIS FOR?
A: This bootcamp is for parents with children between the age of 6 and 11 who
attend recreational gymnastics, acro, cheerleading or dance sessions once or twice a week.
Q: WHO IS THIS NOT FOR?
A: This bootcamp is NOT for advanced level gymnasts who
can easily and confidently do their kickover.
Q: DO WE NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT AT HOME?
A: You don't need anything special to start. Just grab a towel or blanket you don't mind putting on the floor.
We'll be using everyday furniture you probably have at home like pillows, chairs, and sofas.
So, there's no need to buy any specific equipment.
Q: WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND EVERYDAY?
A: No worries! Replays will be available. The best thing is to go through the bootcamp
with the rest of the group but if it’s not possible you can still take part
and get to your fist kickover in your own time and paste.
